Police Inspector Sultan Singh comes from a poor family and lives with his mom, Rukmani, and dad, Ram Singh. He is asked by his superiors to work in the region of his village under Police Inspector Rajiv Chouhan, which he accepts. When he arrives home, his finds his parents destitute, his father, Ram Singh, a bonded laborer under the cruel control of Thakur Shankar Singh and his equally cruel brothers Bhushan, & Zaalim. When he finds out that his father is being whipped, he decides to intervene, a fight ensues, he ends up killing one of the Thakur's employee, his father is killed, he is arrested by Inspector Chouhan, but manages to escape and become a bandit himself, out to avenge his father's death and his mother humiliation. He comes to the aid of a dancer named Ramkali, but finds out subsequently that she has an alias - that of Bandit Raksha, who is also on the path of revenge against Shankar Singh and his brothers. What Sultan does not know is that Raksha and Ramkali are two different people, and that Raksha has a boyfriend named Inspector Dilip Singh, who has been assigned to arrest him at any cost - dead or alive.

Breakfast at Royal veg restaurant - Landmark BOC, This restaurant serves veg food.

Vegetable market visit - We got chance to see local vegetables during this visit.


Mao market - This is another vegetable market, run by Angami women.

State Museum - Ticket - Rs 10 per person. We got to know about different tribes of Nagaland - Costumes, Lifestyle, Jewellery designs This museum is closed on Sunday, 2nd Saturday.

World war 2 War Tank -This is a memorial to those who gave their lives in the defense of freedom.

Kohima War Cemetery - Built as a memorial.

Murung Lodge - They have 4 rooms, including 4 dormitory beds - Rs 1000 per person with breakfast. Email : explorenagaland@gmail.com, www.explorenagaland.com

Murung Kitchen- They have limited options on veg food, Location - Opposite to Oking Hospital, Veg Noodles - Rs 120.

We stayed at Millenium Hotel - Rs 2500 with breakfast for double occupancy, 3 km from town. Located on Hill.

Distance from Kohima - Dimapur - 70 Km, Imphal (Manipur) - 140 Km, Kisama - 12 Km (Where the Hornbill Festival takes place).

In the next episode you will see half a day spent at Kohima then we moved back to Dimapur and later on Guwahati.

20-04-2025: ⁣In a press briefing held today, Neelam Pope, one of the founding organizers of the Lower Subansiri and Keyi Panyor Idol, raised serious concerns over the unauthorized launch of a new event titled Lower Subansiri Idol. Pope stated that this new event is being organized without informing or seeking consent from the original organizing team, despite the fact that Season 2 of the original Idol concluded less than a year ago and was built as a joint cultural initiative between Lower Subansiri and Keyi Panyor.

Pope highlighted that the sudden use of a similar event name and concept not only disrespects the collaborative spirit of the original platform but also causes confusion among participants and the public. He stated, “We were shocked to learn about this through social media announcements. There was no communication, no consent, and no respect shown toward the team that built this from scratch.”

To address the issue formally, Pope informed that he has already contacted the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and has filed an FIR at the Ziro Police Station against the new organizers for misrepresentation and unauthorized use of the event name and concept.
